Put a goat on your head!

Ah, I just love advertising! When I’m not zapping ads, I am paying such close attention…
Last night’s treat was a shampoo with “Cashmere extracts”. Mmm, that sounds nice … soft, silky … except that cashmere comes from GOATS, doesn’t it? Somehow “Pamper yourself with a goat” doesn’t cut it…

Has anyone seen a left-handed boomerang?

Lost somewhere in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne (OK, it was a few weeks ago). It’s a terrific boomerang, made by the guy at Healesville, and it flies a treat. It has the word “LEFT” marked clearly on it, and it only works if you throw it left handed. I’m a righty, so to […]

Lizard update

Well, I located some great fabrics, and some googly eyes. Can you believe there are a pair of nine year olds that got a SEWING KIT for their birthday?? It’s true! Plenty of other masculine, robot, killer, spy dinosaur things too, but a real life sewing kit … now that’s something.

We are also looking for good supplies of googly eyes (the kind you sew on, not the gluing kind!).

Rich Maha Indian Restaurant

5 out of 5

We have managed to get all three kids involved in Cubs - that means a full hour off child care once a week. So what do we do? We go to Rich Maha for a grown-up dinner!
It’s not even remotely fancy - the decor […]

Just how cool is Lego?

Lego is the best toy, I’m telling you. We had the kitchen renovated last year, and had to relocate play time to the garage. We took one box of Lego, and the kids played with it every day. They were nearly late for school one day because they ‘had to’ finish making their Lego X […]

I have three kids. Two of 'em are twins. The other one isn't. I am trying to keep the house more tidy. I like doing craft. I like to write. I like Lego, tea cups, and shiny things. I drink a lot of tea. I join committees and help make things happen.
