Ah, I just love advertising! When I’m not zapping ads, I am paying such close attention…
Last night’s treat was a shampoo with “Cashmere extracts”. Mmm, that sounds nice … soft, silky … except that cashmere comes from GOATS, doesn’t it? Somehow “Pamper yourself with a goat” doesn’t cut it…

Well, I located some great fabrics, and some googly eyes. Can you believe there are a pair of nine year olds that got a SEWING KIT for their birthday?? It’s true! Plenty of other masculine, robot, killer, spy dinosaur things too, but a real life sewing kit … now that’s something.

Well, you start with some pretty fabric, cut out a lizard shape, then another one in a different fabric. Sew them together, leaving a gap. Turn it inside out, stuff it, sew up the gap, and add eyes.

My kids have started making toys - what a cool activity! But we need bits of intersting fabric. Where are some sources? I know Lincraft, of course.
We are also looking for good supplies of googly eyes (the kind you sew on, not the gluing kind!).
